White Rooster & Red Sun

This design was inspired by a rooster painting from Japanese traditional art, then reinterpreted as a tattoo piece.

Rather than building a complex background, I focused on the contrast between the ornate white feathers of the rooster and the simple, powerful red sun.

In East Asian imagery, the rooster has long been seen as an auspicious bird that announces the dawn and drives away negative energy.

Through its upright posture, flowing tail feathers, and repeated feather patterns, I wanted to capture the clear and striking presence of the rooster.

일본 전통 회화 속 수탉 그림에서 영감을 받아, 타투 도안으로 다시 정리한 작업입니다.

이번 도안은 복잡한 배경보다 흰 수탉의 화려한 깃털과 단순하지만 강렬한 붉은 해의 대비에 집중했습니다.

닭은 예로부터 새벽을 알리고 나쁜 기운을 물리치는 길상적인 새로 여겨졌습니다.

곧게 선 자세, 길게 말려 올라가는 꼬리깃, 반복되는 깃털의 흐름을 통해 수탉이 가진 맑고 선명한 기운을 보여주고 싶었습니다.
